ECU PINOUTS?
I was thinking that it might be cool to be able to have a small volt meter mounted on the dash that could toggle between the outputs of a few different sensors.
Brrman was saying that the ECU monitors cylinder temps. I'm assuming there are sensors that send a voltage to the ecu indicating the temps. If I could monitor that voltage, I could monitor the cylinder temps. Other things to monitor could be, EGT, boost, a/f ratio, intake charge temps.
Does anyone have the pinnouts to the ECU? My car is a 1997 1.8t Quatro.

I doubt you'll get a good answer to this. It's not really widley published information. Even if you could hook up a voltmeter, would the voltage displayed mean anything? How would you know the coversion from voltage to temperature?
Someone has got to have the pinnout info. The voltage to temp conversion could be a problem. But, if I get used to what the normal operating voltage is, I could know when I'm getting outside that range.
