Default Engine code??

How do I find out what code my engine has? AEW, or something like that.. I need to know so I can order the correct "ultimate timing belt kit" from ecs. Its a 2000.. On the inside of the door, there is a sticker there which is supposed to tell the manufacturing date, but its not stamped or printed on it! I heard that its supposed to say the engine code on the valve cover? I dont see it anywhere. Whats iz it?!

Take off the plastic cover for the valve cover. At the back of the valve cover there is a white sticker with the engine code.

See above. It is stamped on the top of the engine under the plastic cover.

You engine should be ATW.

You can call them and let them know your VIN.

Good answers. Thanks. For all yall in the columbus ohio area, which I know there are more than a few regulars on here.. I stoped at Auto Assets in Powell, but they were closed. BS. If they were only open on Sundays, they could have gotten some serious business from me today. F-ers.

So is there an engine code that is more reliable than another?
