engine code

hi there
can you tell me the engine code for the a4 130 bhp tdi se saloon and the position of the info relating so i can check my engine ie is on a plate or the timing cover

Typically the engine code is located on a placard on the front of the engine somewhere.

It's also stamped on the valve cover.

The engine code letters and serial number are stamped on the right-hand side of the engine cylinder block, between the cylinder head and the power steering pump.

also on the sticker in the trunk around the spare wheel that sticker is also located in your maintance manual

right thanks guys but can you now tell me what the kw is for the 130 bhp tdi engine as i now know that the sticker you tell me about is the same type as the vw golf that i had a year ago in the spare wheel well
