OUT OF NOWERE I STARTED MY 97 A4 AND IT RAN AT REALLY LOW RPM'S (250 -300)
IT RUNS UNEAVEN AND I CAN DEFINATELY TELL THAT ITS MISFIRING.
MY OBD CODE SCANNER COMES UP WIT MISFIRE IN 2 CYLINDERS PLUS MUTLIPLE MISFIRE TROUBLE CODE & ITS SAYIN THAT THERE SUMTIN WRONG WIT MY THROTLE POS SENSOR. I THINK THE TPS ERROR SHOWED UP BC OF WATEVER STARTED THE MISFIRE.

COULD IT BE MY MAF ???????????????? HOW DO I CHECK IF IT WORKS CORRECTLY
IF NOT WAT ELSE COULD IT BE????

It could be that little box thing on top of your airbox, thats what it was with mine...first swap out the packs on top of the valve cover, to make sure it isnt those..and if you still have a misfire in the same cylinder, that thing would be your best bet...ill try to hook you up w/ a pic.

IT"S EITHER YOUR INTAKE CONTROL MODULE (ICM) OR COILPACKS, DEPENDING ON WHAT ENGINE YOU HAVE!!!!!!!

Well im not sure what an intake control module is

But i think hes refering to the power output stages on top of the intake box

Try swapping coils and plugs and see if the misfire moves

HOW CAN YOU BE SO SURE OF THIS?
You read enough "My car popped, and now it has a blinking CEL, lumpy idle, weird exhaust note, and it is freaking me out. What should I do????" and you get an idea.

On AEBs, I think the ICM is prone to just exploding for no reason. Happened to me. I think DBWs have problems with the coilpacks, for whatever reason. So it depends on what kind of car he has. Sounds like an ICM failure to me.
