first of all i have a 2003 audi 1.8t. I had my cars epc light go own a few days ago and then while i was driving my idle got stuck between 1 and 2 rpm. I gave it gas and nothing happened i restarted the car and the lights reset and the problem was gone but kept reoccuring throughout the past serveral days. I decided tochange my air and fuel filter to see if maybe this might solve the problemand the light went off and hasnt been back on since i had changed my filters. IDont know if thats how to fix the problem but It made my stop doing what it did. So just some useful info i pass on.

my light has been on twice since I owned it and both times caused from low boost. After a few offs and ons went away never knew what caused it or why it turned off.

 

yea really i have no clue what it is ive heard of the low boost or limp mode but i also have heard that it could be a vaccume line loose. I dont know iam just happy its gone.
