I have a german plate on my car. It really looks nice in the front. I really don't know if they are ilegal in Florida. I purchase mine in the mall! If you can wait you can order yours directly from germany, germanplates.com. I chose mine with a personal meaning. I don't like the funny one's unless they are really creative with it.

 

BTW Tom's price for his plate is real good if the plate holder is included!

 

Sorry I don't really want to upset anybody by bidding, I may have another at home but it doesn't have the plate holder. On my jetta I had it attached with 3m tape. I will be home the 28th so I will post in this thread if I can find it.

to my understanding they are illegal if your state mandates a plate in the back and one in the front. BUT i dont see why it would be bad if you get your license plate number on your german plate. its not as witty as a personal meaning or something funny but it still looks good and it might be within state regulations. ebay got like a million listings for those plates.
