Im looking into uying some euro plates but i dont know how to register my car with those plates on it. How do you register a car in the united states with european plates. I emailed the rmv and they didnt know.

the euro plates are for show, you can't register your car with euro plates, you put your own words or numbers on the plates.

you do not register your euro plate. if your state does not require to have front plate, then you are fine. you must keep original plate at the back tho.

What you can do - and it seems to work in CA - is get personalized plates (or keep your originals) and get a Euro plate that reads the same for the front and leave your state plate with the tags in the back. It's still not legal in CA - but I've yet to to be told to remove it...

I'm assuming if you get the plate frame it should just bolt right onto the 2 holes already drilled onto the front bumber?

i've had one for about a year in cali and no tickets yet, well not for that anyway, and they do bolt in place of the legal plates.

I used 4 self tapered screws to mount mine, and no, it's not legal to have German plates but I never got hassled for it.
