Europlate Mounting
So I got my euro plate today and went to try and mount it. Of course not one of the 30 gazillion holes in the "Universal Euro Mounting Bracket" matches up with the 3 holes drilled for the US plate holder. So has anyone used the bracket from Licenseplates.tv with any luck?
I'm reluctant to but it looks like the best way would be to use some self tapping screws into the bumper. I used a dremel and made some of my own holes in the mounting bracket but since the holes in the bumper are in the shape of a pyramid, they pull the plate down and away from the top creating about a 1/4" gap along the top.

So I haven't gone out to try and put the euro plate on here but I got thinking, what did Audi use on the euro A4? Same thing as the NA bracket just different shape? If so where could I get one?

We've got two U.S.-spec VWs with ushere in Europe right now. I used a flexible EuropeanABS plate holder (with the bazillion holes) for each car. The original U.S. plate brackets had beendrilled into the bumpers, so I used those holes. Problem was, we've got the U.S. curvedbumpers. Refusing to drill more holes in the bumpers (since we'd eventually be taking the carsback to the States), I used double-sticky foam mounting tape on the ends of the ABS bracket. The key was to findflexible-enough brackets so that they curved appropriately. They'veheld for about eight years now; through road salt, car washes, etc.
So how is it on the U.S.-spec B7 A4 (which I'm considering getting)? Is the front license mounting areareplaceable (as opposed to having to get a whole new grille), so a European version of the mounting area can be put on for a European plate?
How about in the rear?
