Default EVO MS intake

ok, so ive had the evo ms intake for my 2.8 now for about a week... here are my thoughts on it:

pros:
- def throttle increase, and less of a lag between 2-3k rpms
- seems to be increased mpg
- nice growl around 3.5k mean howl around 4.5k+

cons:
- when you have a full car and need to accelerate, the growl / howl can get rather loud and annoying
- when its rather hot out, it seems like the car is losing power (sucking hot air into the engine)

all in all... i personally dont think it was worth the money, and will prob reinstall the stock airbox, put in a k&n drop in, sell the sucker on ebay and call it a day

personally i tried it off of a few good reviews, and figured why not... shoulda just chipped it...

i used to be into open air intakes, but they just get annoying when u got a chic in the car and need to accelerate quick. [>:]

loved the mpg increase, but no more rice for me.

Try your stock airbox and do a diy airbox mod if you still want alittle bit of performance sound.

maybe you should just make a custom heat shield for it so its not sucking hot air

I think if you did that and isolated the filter from the hot air you should be good

And I'm just as anti-rice as the next guy, but please.. an intake is not rice.
