i have a 1999 a4 2.8 quattro an im looking to upgrade to an after market exaust. the problem is on every site i look at their are only sistems for the 1.8T model. so my question is will a cat back sistem that fits a 1.8 also fit the 2.8. If not are their any sugestion on products or companies to use?

1.8T exhaust won't fit a 2.8. The 2.8 is a V6, having two exhaust headers. The 1.8T is an I4 so only one exhaust header. Your options are pretty much custom or engine swap.
