Default EXHAUST

Hey guys! I just joined the forum and I'm a proud owner of an '02 1.8T. I've been looking at some aftermarket exhausts like - Neuspeed, Eisenmann, Supersprint, Remus, APR, and Magnaflow. I'm looking for a deep sport sound without being able to hear it 3 blocks away. In the future, I may consider a chip and an air intake but most likely not a turbo replacement. Does anyone have any opinions on which exhaust is best?

this topic has been answered many times before. you can use the handy dandy search feature of the forum to see what people have said before. just remember to listen to soundclips if possible before purchase and go with a respectable company and you will undoubtedly be happy with it.

hey thanks a lot. I'm probably leading more toward eisenmann but I appreciate the feedback. Which would you prefer?

Alright, Eisenmann is probably the least mentioned exhaust on this forum, and I personally know nothing about it. I can tell you that I have a NEUSPEED (catback with downpipe) and am really happy with it. It sounds agressive without sounding like a civic. A couple of us have that one actually. Borla is a favorite of some people here and probably the least expensive at about $650 I believe. APR, MILTEK, and REMUS are other great alternatives. You can definately go check out the REMUS website for soundclips. Those and the Neuspeed are in the $800+ price range. Hope that helped.

They are all good exhausts. If you get a catback system they sound deep and mellow. the only way to get thatt fart sound is to buy one of those cheap mufflers. So my advice is spend the money on a good system

Does anyone post any sound clips on the forum because I have never heard and A4 with an exhaust on it.

An exhaust is a exhaust, when u really think about it, all make about the same power. Sure, some may have a slightly dif exhaust note, but when it all comes down to it, an exhaust is exhaust.

Why not get a chip first? Money better spent for performance. I hope to get a GIAC this week or next.

As far as exhaust goes, I'm leaning toward an ATP Virtual Exhaust System (diverter valve) and cat which should sound killer on wide-open-throttle. Leaning toward Milltek for the rest.
