Default Exhaust?

I'm in the market for a new exhaust for my 1998 A4 1.8T Q. I want performance but I also don't want a really loud exhaust. I do not want to be annoyed on road trips or annoy my neighbors. Can anyone recommend one? APR? Borla? Neuspeed? Thanks for any help for I am new to the Audi tuning world.

Borla...nice deep tone, not overly loud, won't set off car alarms at 3am lol but sounds awesome at WOT. Plus argueably the most hp gains.

Milltek would probably cost an extra $100 bucks, but gives you another half inch in diameter. What would you guys say are the pros and cons of these two?

a 2.5' borla set up is $500 from techtonicstuning where a millteck is like $900 and that only .25' bigger
