im having trouble removing the tip from the muffler, i have the techtonics system with that boring stainless steal (unpolished) circle tip. i recently purchased a nice polished stainless oval tip. now inorder for me to install it properly i need to remove the other tip, cut it in half, and weld the oval on on. my buddy saiid to just cut it while its connected to the car and my father said for it to be done properly i need to remove it which has proven to be nearly impossoible. im just wondering what others would do in my situation. cut it while on or contiune to struggle with removing it. muffler shop is outta the question.
i also claybar and waxed her today. nice and shiney.

I say take it off, i took my TT tip off after 7000k no problem
