Exhaust?
I have a 98 2.8 V6 30V. I have a custom 2.5" cat-back exhaust, with a Hi-flow resonator and a Magnaflow 14816 muffler. When I first got the exhaust I liked it, but now it is getting annoying. It seems to drone out a lot and the Cops and I are getting sick of it. I dont want to completely get rid of it, but I was just wondering what I could do to quiet it down a little bit. I was thinking maybe another resonator, but im not sure. Any help would be awesome.
I have a similar issue. I have 2.25 straight back to a vibrant axle back... WAY too loud. I'm going to put a glasspack in and see if it quiets down. I figure for $35 and the install it would be a cheap solution.
A resonator muffles the sound of the exhaust as well as any raspyness... The purpose of a resonator is not to stop the droning in the cab...

Resonators
On your typical cat-back exhaust system, you'll see a couple of bulges in the piping that are apparently mini-mufflers out to help the big muffler that hangs out back. These are called Helmholtz Resonators and are very similar to glasspacks. The main difference is that firstly, there is no sound-absorbing fiberglass or steel wool in a Resonator. And secondly, their main method of silencing is the reflective principle, not absorption. An easy way to tell the difference between a glasspack and a true Helmholtz Resonator is to "ping" one with your finger. A glasspack will make a dull thud, and a true Resonator will make a clear "ping!" sound

When its cold outside mine makes this really annoying vibrating sound right under the cabin that makes me wanna stab something. Early morning vibrations, afternoon awesome late night vibrations. Whats the deal it only does it when its cold. I have a labree HFC and borla cat back
