Id get the chip 1st since you already got the dv to compliment it. It will be cheaper than the exhaust and give you much more improvement in performance for the $. As far as the exhaust goes that's a personal preference. Best thing to do is look up sound clips of the different ones and see what YOU like most. Cant help you with the Civic but I can welcome you toAF.

chip is a much better power adder than a cat back.

Exhaust, that way youll love the sound, and the power you get from the chip later on will be so much better when it can breath.

Chip first. Totally transforms the car. You will get an additional 40+ HP, vs an exhaust which will give you better sound, cost more and give you 10-15 HP.

I would get a chip first, that is where you'll notice the biggest difference. They cost about the same too.

chip it first, you will eventually need a better exhaust, my buddy got his S4 chipped and kept blowing turbos because he had a stock restrictive exhaust.

Do the cheap chip thats being talked about right now, to a test pipe, and take it to an exhaust shop and have them cut out your first muffler and put in a replacement pipe for it.

THAT will be about as much as a GIAC chip... or even less than a Borla (quiet as ****) exhaust.

AND you'll have the most HP, and best sound for the money (when you get the cash you can swap out the 2nd stock muffler for a Magnaflow or similar)...
Dont touch your intake.
Next would be the DV.

BUT FIRST.

search..

SEARCH!!

ps.. do a search on google for 1/4 mile times, and compare if you want to know..
