exhuast problems
My car started to make a raddling sound so I checked under the car and found out that the exhaust pipping from the mid-muffler was completely disconnected from each other and I was like holy crap. I was wondering if I should just get a new cat-back or just get it welded back in place. Could there be any damage to my car from the exhaust problem? If I get a new exhaust system how hard is it to put it on myself?
A muffler shop should be able to repair it cheaply.
It depends on what kind of shape the exhaust is in as a whole.
If it all needs replaced, get a new muffler (borla, or other) and have a shop replace the rest of the piping and install it.

I forgot to note that the exhuast air seems to be flowing all the way to the back but I dont know how much is being lost. Does the premature exhuast leak just simply add more toxic air to the atmo? The part where it is disconnected is not a straight cut but it seems to fit back into place. I just dont know how it could have happened.
Sounds like rust. What year and how many miles on the car and in what kind or weather conditions?
The leak is after the catalytic converter, so no it doesn't affect emissions, but should make more than a rattle. You should be hearing unmuffled engine.
