F%CK nature, you gotta love audis
out of benz's i like the e, sl, slk, cl, clk. i even dig the new r class, for a minivan its hot, like i'd get one if i had a kid and needed a minivan, but i'd probably get an escalade ext instead - ivory white with 24"s - thats hot.
so i got my car back today. i test drove it it was fine, came home - around the block from my house - 1st time i put it into first gear the whole trip and it grinds. im like wtf!?!? took it out and put it in again its fine, let go of the clutch in neutral pressed it back down and put it into 1st and it grinds. so everytime i press the clutch and put it into first it grinds the gear. PHENOMENAL!!! my back hurts so fing much from the liberty loaner i had, wtf, will my car ever be road going again? i dont pay my lease every month to drive explorers durangos and liberties - this is such a load of crap!!! goin to dealer first thing friday morning!
Phenomenal is the only word i can use to describe my car. the windshield weather stripping that was installed when the dealer replaced the windshield and then reinstall last week due to it comeing off came off again. The dealer had no loaners so i have to bring it tomorrow. 1st gear is grinding like a little b*tch, you dont look so cool when your car makes that sound.
NNNNNOPE!
And fyi, the lemon law, at least in jersey and i beleive many other states is as follows: 1. only if problem arises in first 6 month. 2. it can be replaced up to 3 times and then the entire assmebly has to be replaced. Only if it is unsafe to operate the vehicle does this law kick in. For example, if your glove box handle breaks 3 times, they will replace the entire glove box - you will not get a new car, but if its like a tranny or brakes where you can get stranded or kill someone your car will be replaced after being repaired three times.

so, your at #2 for tranny stuff. One more = new car! ehhh, it was worth a try.
Sounds like the clutch isn't adjusted right, its not releasing all the way maybe?
Good luck with it. I don't know if I could take that much stress.

got my car back today, dealer drained and replaced hydraulic fluid, fixed glovebox, and a pillar moldings. took it for a test drive and the grinding noise remains. talked to salesperson that told me that i dont know how to drive - at which point i made a nice scene that everyone in the dealership heard. talked to manager, who also found nothing wrong with the car until i showed it to him and stated it is normal operating procedure. after driving him around he said he has no idea, i said its the synchros, ask your mechanic. So now they need to order a new tranny because the synchro in 1st gear is shot, who knew. This means no car for now, tranny "probably will be here monday after thanksgiving." F$%kin A, and no audi loaner, just a sweet ford minivan. - ill swap that **** out tomorrow, but still no audi.
Quick Update:
The tranny was swapped out almost successfully, oh and the power lumbar support broke, and was fixed, when i picked up the car everything was fine, when i got it home on the other hand, it was a different story. the mechanic who did the work on the car forgot to tighten the negative terminal to the battery, it was loose and completely lost contact when i attempted to start the car the following morning. A noise was present later that day and worse the next day due to untightened transmission mounts. i brought the car to get fixed and got it back on friday, one week ago, sunday a guy backed into it causeing $920 in damage, and today i noticed an awesome coolant leak when i park on a hill, but only on a hill. going to dealer in the morning.
Either this car has the best luck in the world or Audis are real garbage, you decide...
