ok i purchased 93 octane chipped apr ecu for my 2001 a4 1.8tq tiptronic. the car does pull little faster and i hear the turbo buzz which i also like. but it didnt make a big diffrence to me or it just may be me i dunno but i thought i would of expected more power it didnt feel like 40hp.

 

do you really know what extra 40hp feels like ?

How many extra horse power does it feels like then ?

get an N75 J valve from ecstuning.com it will give you extra 2-3psi.

onepoint8tee knows better about tip. cars. he got giac + n75 peak # 23psi I believe.

 

Ok so if i went with giac, performance? How much hp gain? What is also needed to make giac perform better?
Do you need a certain kind of exhaust for giac or would the AWE exhaust be fine?

 

Should got GIAC man its so muc more agressive its not even funny, APR claims more hp then GIAC but you wouldnt think it by driving each, i was really dissapointed by APR and I got GIAC on my car and Its soo much better its not even funny

 

let the ECU set in fisrt, this is a common thing, the car has to get used to the new programmin first

Your other problem is that you have a BOV. Replace it with a DV. Get a 710n FOR 30 bucks
