hey guys, well tonight im finally getting my B5 A4!!!

Its a 1998 A4 FWD <-dont flame me please!!!
it has 55,000 miles
5-speed
and it is going to cost me 5,300
he already changed Tb, water pump tensioners n all of that. new sunroof
new tires and brakes..

he also put in a new gauge cluster thing..

wat i wanted to ask if it is possible for someone to change the milage of an audi illegaly?

 

Sure, its possible. If he knows an audi tech, he could have it done. Did you do a carfax on it? Have it inspected?

Sounds like a good buy. If the miles are REALLY that low.

Did he have receipts for the work he had done? It would normally state the mileage on the work order. If he doesnt have any receipts, beware, because he could be trying to scam you.

Sounds good, xcept the fwd thing, but still a nice car. That is if its a 1.8T

 

ya definately... if he put in a new gauge cluster than the mileage will most likely be wrong... but im not too familiar with the digital mileage display, it might not change when the cluster is changed, but it quite possibly could...

 

you should be able to tell the difference between a 50k mile car and a 150k mile car......the deal sounds kind of shady imo

 

the deal is good.. and ima ask him for all the receits of everything he did...
i havent done a carfax..
but i drove the car and i compared to another one i drove that had about 80k miles and it was a difference.
he said he bought the audi from some old guy for real cheap. so he just got fixed those things i stated n thats why the price is 5,300

 

Front trac is not bad,but Quattro is better.Youll still get thatwarm and fuzzy feeling whenbehind the wheel....Sounds like a great deal.
