Hey paintball - I just got my glowshift gauge last night almost have the vent trimmed to where the gauge fits nice(need to buy a file). do you remember where you spliced in your wires? did you run the one to the battery like it says? did you run the two 12v power wire's to the same spot(and where)?

Mine doesn't change colors, but is still tinted. So mine was only like 34 bucks shipped or something. Thanks for showing these to me paintball!

Pardon my ignorance, but what is the difference between GlowShift's black and tinted 7-color series? I can't seem to find any explanation and the pictures used are highly similar. Thanks.

And for the wire slicing i ran the red and black wires to the red and black wires that control the light for the vent thing. Then the other two I ran down to the OBOII connecter. There is a wire there that is an acc. wire that I used (A guy was using it for a turbo timer to power it on and off so I was like ok I will use if for mine to. I will show you the part. Hold on a few min while I look it up.

Ok, These are the two tuturiols I used to install mine: This is for the gauge its self:

I can't find the one for the wires but I will take my dash apart for you and show you what I did. It will have to be later tonight though because I just got to work and am stuck here for 8 Glorious hours...NOT!

thanks anyway I can figure it out - I have an older b5(no electric wiring in the vent and like he says in his DIY I'm on my own. Wife has the digi down in Coon Rapids so I won't be able to do a DIY for early model A4's.
What you could do is just run all the 12V wires to your radio acc. wire and then run the ground to any grounding point. Just put an inline fuse somewhere on the wire going from the gauge to the acc. wires. (they are like $1 at the hardware store. Get the 5 amp.) that way if it draws to much (which I doubt it will) it won't catch on fire or anything.
