ok so what do you think would be the best to go for as my first mod

1)Suspension work (everything from wheels n tires, shocks, struts, springs)
2)short shifter
3)exhaust

 

suspension if you don't have sport.

 

98 V6 30V quattro, i was def thinking suspension, it's hard to think that it can possibly handle much better than it already does [8D]

 

Oh you'd be quite suprised in the effect a good sport suspension can have.

 

All depends on what you want to improve first:
1. Looks - Go with new wheels
2. Handling - New wheels, tires, suspension
3. Shift feel -Short-throw of course
4. Power/sound - Exhaust

If you want a good first mod, but not spend a ton of cash, go with a short-throw (love the feel!). Tires are always your best overall mod because they'll affect all aspects of your car. Your handling is only as good as your contact with the road.

I've got a short-throw and chip from the previous owner (still trying to determine which manufacturer he used), and I love it! Now, I've got the sport suspension and brand new Bridgestone Turanzas, so the suspension feels good.

Anyways, you can't go wrong with any of the above!
