What do you guys think would be the better first mod? I'm getting some money for a birthday/graduation and have been thinking about putting it towards an exhaust system rather than a chip. I'm prolly going to go with Milltek. Thoughts?

 

After giving another good listen...down to Milltek vs. AWE again....I know AWE has bigger tips.

 

i would get the chip and dv first...but if your gona get an exhaust first, i would go with Milltek. its not loud unless you step on it, and it gets a little bit louder after it breaks in

 

Exhaust just in case for some freak reason your motor decide's to blow your warranty will cover it. With a chip your ****ed but the chances of that happening are very slim, unless you decided that reving your car at 10,000 rpms would be funny.

 

chip and dv for sure.

exhaust will better the performance later on.

College actually. I'm seriously rethinking the chip thing. A chip would be nice, but I'd hate to be screwed if something happens to the engine and voids the warranty. I'm worried I wouldn't have the money to pay for it. + Where I drive the car now, a chip would be pointless other than for showing off when people are in the car. I think I'm going to go with exhaust first. Probably from AWE. I like the way theirs sounds. I'll also probably do some H&R Sport springs when I get it. So it'll be a a month or two till I get it, but I think I"m going with exhaust first. Chip later.

 

i agree with ocadam, while the chip would be fun i think the exhaust would be better while youre under warranty. i love my exhaust. sounds perfect not too ricy butstill kinda laud

 

um. now that im know ur not graduating rom highschool, contrats for college. im there right now and LOVING it/

but on the car note, i would suggest chip. you wont break your engine. honestly, you would have to actually try to break it in order to show any damage that would void your warrenty. i am all for show, but bark without talk makes me punch people

 

I also don't feel like paying all the money right now for a chip. It's not just the chip I have to buy....it's the DV, the Chip+Programs, and a boost gauge. Add that up + Installation...Easily over 1000. So is exhaust, but its safer and install is cheaper..maybe.
