Oh man, we got our first real snow of the season, and I finally got to take my 98' 2.8L out in it for the first time. Well, I drove up to the snow, but same thing. How come nobody ever told me that drifting in an empty huge parking lot was so fun.

 

lol i'm waiting patiently but everyone says they drift?? is it a true drift or more like a donut, i am inexperienced in whipping it aorund as i bought it 3 weeks ago, and still no snow in billings, mt, WTF?? anyway whats the power transfer ratio on the a4's???

 

Depends on what wheel has traction - the Quattro system is amazingly adaptive

as for 'real' drifting w/ AWD in the snow ... you're sliding, you're in control, it's fsckin fun.

 

You can really get it to have no pivot point and just spin in circles but you can hear the front diff wine and change which tire has power then a drift comes out of the fun. i was out for like 5 hours last night in like 10 inches of snow. way too much fun outrunning jeeps and big trucks off the line.

 

still waiting for the snow here in toronto non yet, but im also glad theres no snow cause i work outside.
