Default First Things First

I wanted to say hello to this forum. I am the new proud owner of my 2004 Audi 1.8T Quattro. Its Dolphin Gray with the Platinum interior. It has the sports package. (meaning the bottom body is painted and it has the upgraded suspension?)

I love this car. Its awesome! I live in the bay area and I had a blast taking this thing on our crazy Highway 17.

Anyway,
I have been reading a bit on this forum but I figured I would just ask my question.

What should I do first. I plan on getting a BT in the future so I would like to stay away from any mods that i will have to change down the road when I actually get my BT.

I am hearing a chip is the most common first upgrade. I have read up and it appears that GIAC and APR seem to be the most popular.

I would appreciate any tips, suggestions, or even opinions.

I second that. One good idea is to decide which bt you want to figure out what specific mods it needs before you buy anything.

I plan on getting a BT in the future. I will be doing the work myself so I need to wait until I have time. This will happen in January.

I plan on adding a FMIC (with hard pipes), clutch, and flywheel when I do the BT.

Is there one brand over another for the chip that I should get that is easier to upgrade when I do get my BT?

Now because my car is still under warranty (until i roll 50k or until January).... can the dealership tell if I have a chip? As long as the car is not throwing any codes... they wont know right?

We are pretty sure it is going to be the GT28R. Unless we change our mind... again.

What have you guys gotten away with while being under warranty?

I'm kinda in the same boat. Haven't hit 50k yet, and my CPO warranty is good till 100k. The Audi techs wouldn't know how to find out if your car has a chip? I'm just worried that if I throw in a chip, that my CPO warranty will be void.
