Default Fixing dent using hammer and touching up

Some guy at a parking lot came over and offered to fix a 4 inch dent on my Audi a4 fender which I took. I felt so stupid. He used a hammer and s couple other small instruments to fix the dent. Obviously it looks so so (short of ugly).

He offered to paint himself using some silver paint he had - I said no.

He has put some kind of a wax (he called it primer) thing over the fixed dent and he wants me to do the following
1) leave it alone for a couple of days.
2) Get the paint of my choice (spray paint maybe)
3) Use sand paper to remove the wax thing (primer)
4) Spray the color over the dented area

What is the best way of getting the color ? Should I goto the dealer ? Is there a place I can order from ?

Please help

Thanks

Go to a body shop it needs to be filled in regardless of how smooth it looks. Some guy in a parking lot does not sound like a legit body guy.

Does hack job repair look better or worse than big dent in the fender?

Either take to shop or DIY. You can bondo up the uneven sections and then paint it yourself and clearcoat. Prob not as nice as bodyshop, but cheaper.
