fixing light in the dash
I was trying to replace the bulb in my dash that went out and i had no clue where to start. I have a 96 2.8 v6 and if anyone can tell me how that would be great. thanks.
if its in the instrument cluster, pull the plastic piece off that is between the steering wheel and guages.. it looks like an upside down horse shoe.. then there might be a few screws in there, not sure on that.. but its very easy.. and the guage cluster should pull right out, the bulbs are somewhat expensive, but get the upgraded ones if you can.. ohh and if you have the money to replace all the bulbs, you might as well do that, so you dont find yourself in the same boat a few months down the road
Huh interesting, i've always heard they are an Audi only part. Oh I think he needs to pay attention to the color of the base of the bulb too. I used a different one and it was like 50% brighter than the other ones.
yeah, those are the upgraded ones.. some are green and some are orange.. I cant remember which is which, but basically if you have the orange, then the green ones are the upgrades.. if you have the greens, then its the orange ones that are upgrades
