Default Flames out the exaust

Ok so I never reliezed this but when I shift flames shoot out my exaust when shifting at about 6500. Anyone elses car do this? And somethings fucked up with my car again, I ran it at about 12-13 1/4 mile then when I went to park and shut off the car it started to make some nasty sound and got real hot. It has a really rough idle almost sounds like its misfiring a cylinder or 2. Also this started when I was coasting in to park and as thaat happened my brakes when out and I had to stop it with the e-brake. Could this be a timing belt problem. Car has 110,000 miles on it and timing belt was replaced at 80,000.

Your car is running really rich and you are dumping raw fuel into the exhaust.

check for codes, misfires etc. When was the last time you changed your spark plugs

the flames are usually an indication that the car is running rich, which could be a spark problem, or a fuel problem.

everytime I try to start the car it gets worse. Now it will barely start. Could it be timing chain?

if it was your timing belt.. it wouldnt run at all, and you would have valves melted onto your pistons

Ok i dont get my reader for a couple more days. I checked over the whole engine and a hose going to the turbo had falled off. I fixed that and it now runs but still seems to miss. Also the rest of the block and intake are cold but only after being on for about 15 sec the exaust headers and test pipe are burning hot. I dont think it Should it be that hot? Anyone know?

yes your exhaust is 1000deg doesnt take long to heat up metal at that temp. mine gets hot almost instantly

my exhaust is around 600-700 degree's at idle. there is gasoline burning in your metal engine, which is a heat conductor. of coarse it's going to be hot

but interesting situation..

you run Mika tuning which tends to run lean
running lean would cause the engine to run hotter than normal which is what you are claiming
yet you're shooting flames out of your exhaust(something that is usually normal for your turbo combined with no cat)
