Default Flashing CEL - ignition coil

I think I just got screwed by the dealer. The CEL came on flashing and I lost power. Turbo wasn't kicking in. I looked under the hood and the cat was glowing hot so I took it to the dealer. After some "testing" they tell me one of the ignition coils went out and it'll cost a total of $250 to fix (including the $145 diagnosis). Not being a mechanic myself and the limited number of Audi mechanics in my area, I relucantly agreed for them fixing it. I needed my car back. Now did I just get screwed on the cost? Does it really cost that much to replace the ignition coil?

swapping coil packs is easier than changing your oil and maybe even air filter. They are about $130 for all 4 and take all of 5-10min to change (depending if you have bolt downs or push downs).

Great. So I did get screwed. Thanks.

I'll mentally justify the cost for labor to troubleshooting and making sure there was no damage to the cat and that other coils are good.

If u can pull a power cable out of a socket in ur house u can change the coils and they both take the same amount of time 2 do.
