Default Flashloader

I just recently got a Flashloader from Giac for my car and I have to say that this thing is awsome. I can now kill the engine if i want to leave my car somewhere for a long period of time. This way even if someone stole my keys and finds my car they will still not be able to start my car. I also had a stock program and a race program as well as the pump program that i already had. Today i tried the stock program just to see the difference between my car chipped and not chipped. Let's just say that I was really impressed. I have become so used to driving my car chipped that i forgot what it was like w/o. This is a good program for taking the car to the dealership if the dealership has issues with chipped cars. I haven't tried the race program yet because i still need to find some 104+ octane in town. I'll let you know how it goes though. I would reccomend one of these Flashloaders to anyone who has a giac chipped car. It makes the car alot more fun. Even cooler is the ability to be able to switch programs at a light w/o turning the car off. Anyway I just thought this was a real cool tool to have and thought I would share with you.

i didn't send my ecu to get flashed at all. I took it to my mechanic who happens to be a GIAC dealer and he installed it right into my car w/o removing the ecu. He plugged his laptop right into the obdII port. He did the same for the flashloader. it took maybe 30-45 minutes at the most.

Are there any dyno info on the flash loader. And do you pics of it?

i'm sure the dyno info would very due to the many differnet programs that you can install. you have the choice which programs to install on the loader and then change them whenever you feel like it. say if you want to park your car at the valet. there is a button for that so the valet has very limited hp and can't rip around in your car like many of them do. also say if you feel like going to the track. you can switch to race mode and put in 104+ octane and the timing and everything else is changed and ready to go. here is a pic below.

You might try Curry's. Where in N. VA are you? I know that Curry's Sterling location is a GIAC dealer and I also believe their Chantilly location is. I'm hoping that Chantilly is since they are like 5mins away from.

the unit itself goes for around $150-$200 depends on the dealer and each program you put on it is usually 50 bucks some run about 100bucks you can put like eight programs on it if you want. If you ask me it has already been worth it

Sounds like it's pretty cool. Price really isn't too bad, either, in my opinion.

I'm not even sure if I'm gonna be able to get my car chipped, though. [:@]

Flash loader is cool. But APR's technique by using the cc buttons toswitch programsis cooler.
