Default Flat tire / Free trial

So then .. As i was going to costco to check out the prices for tires, and found out it was 225/45/17 for my tires, which cost 203$ a pair. wow ? so as i was pulling up to the parking lot, i noticed my allignment going to the left, when im used to my allignment going slightly to the right alot of times, so then we parked and found out the quote and then as we were leaving i reversed and noticed a huge difference. so then i get out and i have a flat. i have my donut on there, and in a bit im gonna drive to get some 225/45/17 federals for 60$ each, which totals to about 250$ and get them on my rims for 30$ 15$ for 2 tires then get an allignment done for about 80-100 dollars. while i go get the tires and get them installed, i'm going to try out the revo trial chip. i called to ask how much labor was because i searched it and someone got charged 75$. eurocode said it was totally free when i called. so i'm going to head down there today.

can't wait to see how it really feels. wooo ?

after rereading this several times for clarity,
you went to costco and think $100/tire is expensive. you have a flat. you found cheap tires and are having them mounted and an alignment. you're also doing something called the "revo trial chip?" correct?

2 suggestions:
1) research the tires. if your old ones were $100 @ costco, chances are something @$60 elsewhere will be a very different tire. quality, ride, handling, longevity, etc
2) verify these people are doing all that you need in an alignment. some places will not do all the adjustments needed. they should give a before and after print out.

well the tires that came with my car were pretty much all different, i guess the past owners bought used tires or something, they were 225/45/17 which i'm happy with. tires at costco were 203$ each. 60$ tires are pretty good. these are the #1 tires in the drift world right now since there cheap and last pretty long. i'll keep in mind to get the before and after printout. yep and that revo trial chip is something im gonna try for free, can't wait? i'll probally end up buying it in 2 weeks anyways. lol.

those are h rated tires, i have no clue how they would be good for drift, if you want performance, go with the second tire

also revo sucks for b5's per their sites #'s

my friends been telling me that federals are the best right now in the drift world. we recently just rented out the track at willow springs acouple weeks ago, acouple people bought 4 federals for 250$. 60$ each.

Kind of a thread jack here but with regards to the Revo chip on a B5 for it being free for a couple hours does anyone think it's worth it? I found out a local shop does the 5hr free trial and was thinking about doing it for mine just to see. I mean I fully plan on getting the GIAC but that won't be for a while.

those look like bbs knockoff's

and if you get a revo free trial, you will wanna just get the software..... look on here someone might be selling their ecu tunned already

and maybe the reason they got those is cauase they are 60 a pop not much money lost for shreadding tires

those look to be a great all season tire though
