No offense bud,
but that unit looks like the biggest P.O.S ever off of ebay.
Save yourself the aggravation of having it break in 3 months and having to replace it anyway.
If you're gonna go aftermarket, go with Panasonic, Alpine, JVC (maybe), Kenwood, Pioneer or Eclipse.

Parts needed - $15-$20 Wiring Harness, $15-$20 Dash kit, $10 Antenna Adapter (Need Powered Adapter if your vehicle has an internal antenna) Or if you know someone you can get em for $2, $2, $1
If you have a factory premium sound package on your 98 (Bose), you might be able to pick up a harness that will hook up to the amplifier plug with RCA's. I have not seen them but I have tried using the Bose Amplifier via RCA's and it has turn on/off pops, but this method will ensure all speakers (mids and tweeters) are working. You can cut out the amplifier and run the speakers off your deck...but you need a number of modifications. I have cut out the amplifier and put in aftermarket amps, speakers, sub.
If you do not have premium sound, you can get a VW / Audi plug at your local shops (Best Buy, Circuit City, Magnolia, etc). Very easy install and straight forward color matching of the harness.
