see the thing thats got me confused is in the $150 DIY FMIC it has 90 and 35 degree bends whereas the ebay kits have 90, 45 , and 75 degree bends. im guessing it'll still work tho. has anyone used an ebay piping kit on a b5? if so, how did it work for you?
o and does anyone know the thickness necessary to avoid cutting an s4 bumper. most seem to be between 2 1/2"-3"

the guy who sells the complete kit on ebay has it installed on a b5, for what seems to be a huge turbo. My guess is that 2.5" to 2.75" will fit behind an s4 front bumper no prob... I figure if you can get them behind the stock bumper with a little trimming, you shouldn't have any clearence probs...

2.5 will fit behind the S4 bumper but its not the pipes you gotta worry about its the actual cooler... I had to cut my S4 bumper to my my FMIC fit but I got it all in there and i have a bunch of pix somewhere of all the pipes and what not if you want to see them
It seem like you'd save money by just getting the intercooler and pipes seperate.
Dont you need to put some sensor in the ic or piping also?
What is the tallest ic you can get behind that bumper?
I would just go out and measure but its 15*.
