Default FMIC question

i am now lookin at getting a fmic for my b6. found a guy who lives near me on audizine that is selling his eurocode fmic for 650 obo with all the hardware, hoses, etc. I dont know much else about it yet, like how long the guy had it on his car for or anything like that. but my question is, whats the life expectancy (how many miles do they last). Or do they almost always outlive the car w/o problems and i shouldnt worry too much about it?

Check the core for rock dents and have it pressure tested. They will pretty much last as long as rock damage will allow them to.

What he said. They'll last a long time as long as the core doesn't get clobbered by a rock. Be careful on the eurocode one, though. They didn't get too good of a review on AZ or AW from the people who went big turbo. If you stay stage 1 to K04 they should be OK, but if you ever intend to go BT, you may end up getting another FMIc down the line. The eurocode just doesn't keep the temps down enough and they still get some heat soak, from what I've read on audizine.

Looks OK. But without pressure test you can't be sure.
