Default FMIC question (yes I searched)

I know a lot of you have a FMIC and want to know what kind you have and how satisfied you are with it. Also installation wise, I know you have to modify the bumper, is it simply cutting some plastic (which I don't have a problem doing), or do I have to weld something or cut metal. Just what the hell do I have to do for a FMIC setup. I searched but didn't get the specific answers I was looking for. Thanks guys.

greddy, evolution motorsport, and racetec are the best and most popular ones here and at the zine depending on what your looking for id go racetec or evoms direct bolton and virtually no triming of bumper.

i really dont cae for the racetec or evoms, they are to tall and don't sit in the mouth of the bumper enough, the other half is behind the bumper support not getting direct airflow. The core should at max be about 7" tall and longer than evoms or racetec. That said either go custom or greddy if you don't wanna hassle with a custom fmic.

What makes you think you need a FMIC? Unless you have at least a K04 or larger, you wont see much difference.

LOL thats a bunch of bs man, even with the k03 you will see gains, its just not as important as with a k04.... On my car with the fmic you can deff tell it pulls harder and longer.... really a worth while investment

Well I'm planning on getting a 1.8t soon, just have to find one near by and for the right price. And yes I will upgrade the turbo either way. To what, I haven't decided yet. Shooting for 400 whp

BTW, thanks guys, I've been looking around and the Greddy seems real nice. And fairly cheap.
