OK, so i am a newb, flat out, and wondering something. I got a 2001 A4 1.8t and i saw that there are two fog light switches right next to each toher. Which one is the fogs and whats the other one do?

 

the one on the left is front standard fog lights, the other , well if you'll turn the headlights on, hit both fogs and walk to the back of ur audi 1 and only 1 light above your break lights will light up ( or it'll look like you got one burnt out) for driving in the fog - supposedly makes you more visible - right

but i will tell you some one posted a DIY on a clean mod to do to them !

On my 97, it came stock as far as I can tell with two fog lights in the rear...

i havent been a member long- or an Audi owner long but, i can say there is some HOT rides on this forum some really helpful people - and more info than any one person could ever take in .....

 

There is a mod to make both rear red lights come on but it will proly get you in trouble wit the law cuz they are wwwwaaaayyyy to bright for the street. I use the switch on the left (front fogs) every day but never use the other imo it is dumb

 

or you can just put dimmer bulbs in the rear fogs, because they look sweet, or do the tailight mod that floating around here somewhere

 

and does anyone know what fxcking factor causes the fogs to turn off without pushing the buttons...it bugs the hell out of me evertime i look at the console and the damn foglight switch isnt lit up again, because i always run with my headlights and fogs on

 

ya 18T did a mod for this. just always use the left one. if you use the right cops might think one of your taillights is busted and pull you over. its really ghey
