Default Forge Valve tuning Kit

Ive just bought a second hand Forge FMDV006 http://www.forgemotorsport.co.uk/con...roduct=FMDV006
Below are the recomended springs for different loadpressure, but which is the correct one to replace Bosch stock original diverter valve?
In my case my car (1997 A4 1.8T B5) is chiped around +40ps should i step up the spring tension then ?
What is the difference between FMDV006 and FMCL007P in terms of function and installing the device on the car?

Green: 0.3 bis 1.03 Bar
Yellow: 1.03 bis 1.58 Bar
Blue: 1.58 bis 2.06 Bar
Red: 2.06 Bar -

There a few questions,

Thanks for any answeres,

Patrick/ Sweden

i can tell you this.. i have the Forge 007 w/ the spring kit.. according to everything that makes sense.. and according to forge's website and their valve spring guide.. the blue or red spring should give you the most boost...BUT.... after dozens of trial and error with all of the springs.. the weakest.. the green spring have me a several psi increase in every gear.. i dont know why, how, or understand.. but thats what i've discovered from my experiences..

OK,,,, i think, but thanks anyway, ill guess factors like using different hi flow airfilter allso creates a need in adjusting the spring pressure, right

well really, the question be spelled out like this, when buying the Forge FMDV006 directly from the dealer it says it a replacement for all VW, Audi stock one's, now the question arise, what spring does 006 valve comes delivered with ?

Yeah I did a trail and error day swapping out all the springs and the green one ended up being the best.

So i´ll guess its either the green or in some cases the blue or something in between

Ill my post the correspondence with Forge Motorsports for anyone who´s interested:

Thanks for all answeres.

"Hi Patrick

Thank you for your E mail

You should have a blue colour spring in the 006 valve , if you do this is excellent for your car

you do not need to change anything

Regards

Peter

Enquiry: Hello, a techquestion: Ive just a bought a second hand Forge FMDV006, what spring setting do you recommend for a Audi A4 1.8T ? what spring is mounted when buying it directly from the retailer ? Should i step the spring rate on my chipped +40ps Audi A4 ? Thanks for your time Patrick/ Sweden

Functionally there is little difference between the two valves. Both are piston style diverter valves, same port size and orientation. The 007 has a smaller body making it more friendly for applications where space is at a premium.

As for which spring would be equivalent to the Bosch from your car, that would be the green spring. And Peter's recommendation to use the blue spring should work fine for you.
