Found the Audi I want...
So I found the 2001 Silver A4 1.8t Quattro I want. It has 50,000 miles, super clean interior. Its a non-sport with cold weather package. The exterior has some big scuff marks. The front left bumper has scratches all along the corner below the light, no cracks or dents. How much would you guys negotiate down for that kind of damage? Its a dealer asking $15,900.
I am going to negotiate the price with him tomorrow. He would need to take the price down 2k to get me into my payment range. I am not sure if I am even that worried about the external damage. But the scratches up front are not something I can buff out.
Do not do it.... It took me a month and driving 230 miles to find the perfect car, I got a 2001 audi A4 1.8TQM with FMIC, S4 bumper, BBS rims perect interior, paint was good and only 45,000 mile on the clock for 13,000. Keep looking you will be glad you did, I am....
He's right..don't get too hasty. Be patient and the right one will come. I wanted black or red, and had to expand my search to the east coast to find what I wanted. I flew from Portland, Oregon to Cincinnati, Ohio to get mine; and couldn't be happier. But I was looking hard-core for like 2 months. Totally worth it. Don't just buy the first one that seems good, because you may regret it if you find something better 2 days later. Then again if you find a good deal w/ the mods you want, etc..jump on it b4 someone else does. But pass on this one w/ that price despite the low mileage for an '01.
i got a 2003 A4 with 44,000 miles for 16K
newer car, less miles....look around, try www.cars.com

I have not negotiated the price yet, I didnt say I wanted to pay $16,000. Here in Colorado the Audi's sell for more than maybe around you, try cars.com and search 80241. 2002 models with the same miles sell for like $20,000+. I am not willing to pay more than $14,000 for the car. I am also not willing to travel more than 60-80 miles.
