So I was super nervous about taking in my 00 1.8TQ tip to the dealer b/c as we all know they dont want to help..just stick something in us when we turn our backs...

So I knew I had a small hissing sound coming from my turbo and I found what looked to be a crack and my CEL was on...I let this go for a while..but looking through my manual and warrenty info..

I noticed the car was covered under a 7 or 70000mi for turbo..after looking at my mileage (69740)

I was like **** it....its time...

Took it in...no loner car given..but FREE DONUTS AND A FREE TURBO!!

thats right chalk one up for the audi dealership...

they are tryin to charge me for the diagnostic and for some maniifold bolts etc..which the service guy said was like $200 ....should I argue about this charge considering its apart of the turbo install or just count my eggs ???

Warranty is warranty, I'd tell them to shove it.

 

yeah, i dont see how they can charge you anything if its covered by waranty.

 

its their **** that broke, they said they would fix it so tell them to go take a swim in that steaming pile they are trying to sell you.

 

hell yea, refuse to pay, and complain complain complain. so at least that way even if you don't get it for free, you have the satisfaction of knowing you COMPLETELY ruined someone's day.

Well I ended up paying $200....I couldnt get around the diagnostic charge ...also had a epc valve that connects to the intake area that was broke..plus they cut and programed a fob switchblade unit for me...

so what ever...

Brand New Turbo..and my car feels like brand new...O miles on the turbo... = Time for a GIAC chip...

anyone got one for a dbw 2000 1.8TQ tip let me know....I want to BOOST!

also got my custom boost gauge in the mail the other day...will post pics when I get it installed
