Front Bumber Removal?

Default Front Bumber Removal?

i have a 99 audi a4 1.8t and i just got my fmic and need to know how to remove the front bumber and the stock smic. Is there any DIY for installing a FMIC?

Not really. They're all a PITA to install. Which did you get?

The stock smic comes out pretty easy. To get the bumper off, take out the outer lower grill inserts w/a flathead screwdriver. There's 2 hex head bolts. Not sure of the size, maybe 6mm. Definately metric though. Those are the only bolts holding the bumper on.

Here's the supports-


The sides of the bumper are held in place with oversized plastic clips. Push down on the top of the side of the bumper and pull away from the body. I don't have any pics, but it's pretty simple.

Have a clamp ready for the washer fluid hose.

alright getting the bumper off was easy and so was mounting the intercooler and running the turbo side piping, but i cant get the smic out for the life of me wtf lol...how do you get it out?

Pull it downwards... or was it up...

Anyways, there aren't any bolts holding it on.
