I`v started getting power loss in my tdi, it really struggles to get past 70mph....suspected the air meter, and took it the local dealer who diagnosed the problem as a faulty air meter and fuel cut off solenoid. I replaced the meter.......still no improvement! Tested the old one myself by unplugging the meter ........made no differance, which rules that out as being the problem. I think the dealer was at it!......this still leaves the solenoid, has anyone had a problem with this and is it likely to cause loss of power? Just thought i`d ask before handing the dealer anymore cash.
