Fuel door lock

Fuel door lock
The pin lock to the fuel door on my 2004 a4 quattro is stuck in the lock
position and will not move at all. I have tried the pull cable located inside the trunk without any luck.
Luckily the fuel door is open so I can access the gas cap. I bought the car like this and I have no clue as to what to do about this issue. Any suggestions? Thank you.
