does anyone know how to get the pump out of the things its in. ive never seen a pump held in like this. damn germans

01 a4 1.8t im puttin in a walbro and cant figure out how to get it out

the walbro should replace the pump and the whole plastic housing around it.

fuel pump in tank access gained under rear seat or trunk area, there is a plate covering the pump with 3 hex screws remove that and you will see the large screw type plastic ring holding the pump in ( be careful when removing the flow pipes as the are easily broken the pipes are heat shrink type) not a nice job

the fuel pipes are going to be the biggest problem you can heat the ends with a hair drier to aid removal, I don't know of the walbro pump but the standard one has to be jiggled out because of the fuel level float which extends into the tank

simple job your replacing the pump only lol, I do hope that guy isnt useing his audio system while doing the job ( car-boom )

ya right this damn thing is held in there fort knox on lock. im about to break the housing out of it bc its pissing me off. thats how i do things if it doesnt want to come out, off, or in ill beat it to do what i want...haha

its the fuel level sender float its a pig to get it right you just have to have patience then get the hammer lol take your time
