lol... actually in a quarter mile with a good launch quattro will probably have it the whole way down the track....

if were talking about a 40-60mph roll the fwd will obviously win, but definately not by much...

and i agree, this might be on of the most retarded threads i ever seen since i signed up on these forums 2 years ago.

Weight and drivetrain loss is to much. The fwd 1.8t's in all models are considerably faster than the awd version. For the TT's, it makes the 180fwd very competitive with the 225's with simular mods.

i agree. with 250lbs less and half the drivetrain loss of quattro, the fwd cars will easily not only pull on quattro cars on the feeway. but in a 1/4mile, with cars equal in power output, the fwd car will own, even on street tires. the 0.5 to 1.0 second difference in 60ft times will easily be made up and the fwd car will just keep pulling by..

i know this because of whenever i line up my BT quattro, 3400lbcar up against my buddy's MKIV GTI still on k03, he holds his own.. but another kid with a k03 B5 A4 is NO WHERE close.

now if you have more than 300whp and/or are taking the car around turns, then quattro obviously owns both rwd and fwd

Cincy, im waiting on that PM reply.........
