hey guys, i just bought an a4 and i was looking at the turbo on it and it is a garrett...if i post some pics does anyone think that they can give me a good idea of what it is and whether i should upgrade it or not...any input would be appreciated.

Sure can, Tom has the most knowledge on the garrets, so post up a pic and we can give ya a idea. Its more then likly a 28rs.

ur gonna upgrade the garrett...thats not stock AFAIK.....

sorry about not having the pics yet...my comp keeps telling me they are too large....anyone with any ideas on that plz let me know...but on the serial plate..this is what it says..

Oh...and on the coil packs of everyones a4...why does it say s4? are they the same?

easiest way to re-size your pics to make them smaller....

open them with MS Paint (right click, "open with"..)
in top tool bar there will be an option to resize it ( I think it's "stretch / skew")
-- by default it'l be 100% , 100% - vertcal , horizontal
make it 50% , 50%
save it as *name of pic*ver2

keep doing this until it gets samller than 250K to post here...

 

If your computer can handle them, then they should be able to be sent. If not, see if you can reduce the quality of them.
