i got a 02 1.8t and what does everyone else use for gas i was planning on putting the super in but does it matter

I use 91 oct. Its the highest octain they offer in southern California.

premium in oregon is 91-92, so i use 92.

always 98 octan and not below. the turbo engine needs good gas....
and sometimes my 1.8t get´s 100 octan to drink....

wakeskate23488- Go with 93. Only in cases of emergency funds should you ever go with anything lower.

edit- Go with 94 when you can. Sunoco stations in NJ have it.

do you have lower grade fuel in US. Lowest in UK is 95 up to 99 octane. On test in Evo magazine a Golf Gti
varied from 205 bhp with Shell 95 fuel to 212 bhp with BPultimate fuel .


thats a Huge differance.
