My owners manual says you can put 87 in your car? Do you suggest this or would you use 91? Please help me this is the first german car i have had! I have always had ford products

if you're running a 1.8t then no question run 91 or higher....i also suggest it if u have 2.8 or 3.0....so..yea...87's basically outa the question in my eyes....i use 93 and never have a problem...

Yea I just got the car friday and it's a 1.8 T A4 cab.! I love it I have already had the top down twice! I can't wait for the summer

If it is available at least put in 89 octane. Otherwise you will loose perforformance.

if you look at the gas cap there should be a sticker on it. Mine says 95 sans plomb. Of course 95 octane is only in europe to the best of my knowledge. I put it 89 every once in a while but usually 91/93.
