It's a piece of 3" pvc pipe, cut in half. then I cut a wierd hole (cause the gauge is angled at the driver) then used some bondo to fill in gaps. then alot of sanding. And no I don't really don't want to make another one.

thats ******* sick how does the 3 inch pvc fit in the vent?

Wow.....I REALLY like the way that it turned out.
I think it looks friggin' great. Nice work - definitely.

And +1 on the suggestion to make a DIY for other people to try.
