we all know the autodim mirrors die. my understanding is that gentex is now the provider for audi. does anyone know:
1) when gentex took over
2) can i just put a new gentex in my audi w/out mounting adapters
3) will it just plugngo
4) which model do i buy for plugngo (w/compass model)
5) anyone already do this or will i be the first

my reason is after moving, the roads don't run straight here. i've wound up going the wrong way too many times here. i've had it before and really miss it here. i want the compass and i can pick it up on ebay for $125 (just autodim for <$100). to me, that's close enough to what we pay used to where i'd rather have new. i did email/talk to several places, but they either won't respond or want me to pay for install so won't tell me.
