Lol, if you dont allready autocross, go into it with a stock car. the more you have on your car, the higher of a class u run in. go in a stock car, talk to the people there, and have someone weatherd sit in your passenger seat and tell u how to drive.

if ur allready a weatherd autocross racer, good luck. swaybars, good tires (not slicks), suspension and u should be set. and maby some drilled rotors, the stock A4 rotors warp easliy

From what i've read the a4 has problems getting the front end to stick (ie pushing)? I was thinking full coil overs and leaving the front bar stock and putting a bigger rear bar, This should help to rotate the rear around.

And probably before I get the coil overs I would put an aftermarket rear sway bar on.
Why not true slicks? I have a set of goodyear cantilouver(sp?) slicks for 7in rims that are 9in wide that I WAS going to use on my 73 v8 914, but I went with 10.5's and 9.5'son 9's and 10's instead (true slicks).
I was thinking that the quattro management probably worked better with a little bit of slipage, but im just curious. How about some hoosier DOT r's? still to sticky? because those are the "street" tires, I have like 5 sets of those (jesus.. i gotta use some of those..) and some victoracers, and I think I have a pair of yoks AO32r's that I want to use up..

Im an avid autoxer.. 4 years under my belt (got my license, next day went autoxing!!).
I also have a couple of track days under my belt..

I just have NO experience with setting up awd cars.. Heck I dont even have an a4 yet.. im still waiting to sell my stock 944 turbo...

Thanks
Andrew

lower the ride with coilovers and increase the wheel base ( broader tyres/low profilewith wheel spacers )

o i dont know about the camber and psi was like 35 iicr. it was almost a year ago since i did the set up.
the h-sport was the best handeling mod imo. made the front end bite and turning was greatly improved. i had both front and rear sways. the back was much larger and stiffer

Alright, that confirms my thoughts..

BTW, I was checking out your dyno graphs and DAMN your tuning gets rich over 5k rpms!! Did you get a chance to fix that? Is that custom tuning, or by whom? What turbo, psi? I would venture to bet you could get 25-50 more hp with proper tuning, because thats WAAAY off..

yes thats becuase that dyno i had a broken maf. so i was just running off the map sensor. and at that air vollume it cant calculate fast enough so it just dumped teh fuel in. i got a new maf and it leaned way out. then i took some fuel out and it got much better. but i didnt ever go back and re dyno it. yes custom tuning. t3t4 turbo 21-40psi. ya it was a shitty tune that dya
