Getting an A4
Alright so recently I have been looking for a new car. And I have a few options but I would like some of your help. I have about 7k to spend and was looking between a 2.8 A4 and a Volvo s80. Recently I thought about leasing a brand new audi A4 but have no idea what kind of prices that I am looking at. Can anyone help me out here what do you think that I should do.
You can't base your choice solely by cost. You NEED to drive the cars you wish to compare. Remember, you're about to embark on a commitment of gratitude to enjoy your 'new' car. Although, you should avoid thinking 'I should have gotten...'. Pick what you feel is best for your comfort, your driving style, and what's reasonable in regards to budgeting. Remember, Volvo is 'part Ford'...it's not completely german if you think so otherwise (just check out ford.com). I'd get the A4 in a heartbeat...like I already did for the wifey.
I would also let you know not to be shocked when you have to pay 120 bucks for an oil change. Of course you can do it yourself but all im getting at is even though you may get an a4 for 7k its still and Audi and that means stepping into a whole new bracket of maintenence fees. But for mei waited and found an amazing deal on mine and got it for about 7k with perfect carfax and everything else. It had higher mileage but i never worry about that with a german car as long as it has been seviced well. Good Luck!!!
I have thought of the 1.8t however I am worried about having to replace the turbo's. Its not that I couldn't get my dad to pay for it but the 2.8 doesn't have the turbo's so I figure it would cost a bit less to maintain as long as the waterpump and timing belt have already been changed. Tell me if I am wrong.
what happens when the turbo blows? obviously you don't want to drive it but is the car literally rendered useless or is it possible for someone to have it happen and not know it because they don't know cars.
